I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
